Playing baseball with USSSA is a easy three step process;

1.  Determine your team's classification
2.  Register your team with USSSA
3.  Enter your roster on-line with USSSA

Below is step by step instructions to get your team registered and started with USSSA.  For additional help and information, call the State Office at 708.675.1500

Step 1:  Determining your team's classification

USSSA offers four levels (classifications) of play (i.e.: Major/Elite, AAA, AA, A)

TEAM CLASSIFICATION GUIDELINES

Any team that is reforming from the PREVIOUS season must start the CURRENT season in the same class that they finished the PREVIOUS season.  If four (4) or more players from a PREVIOUS roster are on a new team, that team should classify as the PREVIOUS team's classification.  The State Office has the authority to reclassify teams based on their Win-Loss record, level of competition, and USSSA Power Ranking.

The guidelines below are to help determine your classification.  The ultimate classification is determined by the overall strength of the team.  Teams may be reclassified at any time by the Iowa USSSA State Office.  Teams must play in at least the same division as they finished the previous season if not the next higher classification.

MAJORS
The top teams in the State
AAA
Tournament Teams - Competitive teams
AA
Teams that do not pull players from a large area, may have restricted rosters.  Average travel team.
A
Drafted League teams and recreational teams.
